Ton Up

And plenty more to come ……..

Sean Bowen reached the 100-winner mark for the season in his quickest time yet following a double.

“It’s great to get to the 100 mark,” the champion jockey told Sky Sports Racing. “My quickest before was mid-November, so it’s good to get it done in October and hopefully I’ll do it even quicker next year.”

Bowen showcased his class in the saddle when reaching the milestone in the 2m4f handicap hurdle on Isle Of Sark, trained by his brother Mickey.

Market leader Dickens looked to have the race in hand down the straight, but Isle Of Sark jumped the last much cleaner and powered past to win by five and a half lengths.

The seven-year-old was making just his second start for the yard, and the trainer said: “He showed a great attitude with the visor on for the first time today and it’s made all the difference.”

Bowen earlier struck in the 3m2½f handicap chase on the Olly Murphy-trained Pescatorious, edging out Sir Carnegie in a close-fought finish.
